Colour Spectrum

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

2000-6
250 plant species and several varieties of each.
830 metres square

Commissioned to create a large scale plant installation at Kew Gardens to bring colour to the most famous national arboretum, Lucinda used 250 species of plants and often many varieties of each species. Paths through the colour spectrum allowed viewers to become immersed in a field of natural colours. Following the success of its first year when it won the Association of Professional Landscapers Award, the scheme was repeated in subsequent years with a particular emphasis on biodiversity and native plants.
